COMET C/2013 G9 (TENAGRA)
An apparently asteroidal object reported by M. Schwartz and P. R.
Holvorcem on images obtained with the Tenagra II 0.41-m f/3.75 astrograph
located near Nogales, AZ, U.S.A. (discovery observation tabulated below) has
been found (after posting on the Minor Planet Center's NEOCP webpage) to show
cometary appearance on twelved stacked 50-s R-band images obtained by P.
Campbell, N. Howes, and E. Guido obtained remotely with the 2.0-m "Faulkes
Telescope North" located at Haleakala, HI, on Apr. 18.4 UT, the object noted
as having a compact coma about 5" in diameter (of mag 18.8-19.1), elongated
toward p.a. 110 deg.
